YAMA

Yama is a community dance company based in Bath. It was set up in 2015 for those over 60 who had danced, or were new to dance, to come together to devise original work, create new social connections, and share work with wider dance communities through performances and workshops. Yama regularly brings dance performances to engage audiences in the community and to demonstrate active and creative ageing. From company workshops to a weekly dance class open to the public, Yama enables more people to fulfil their potential as they deal with the challenges of ageing. Yama is a creative and supportive company of individuals, who thrive on making and performing unique and high-quality work.
