Parade Of Sail

Closing this year’s On The Water programme, a parade of sail is a traditional part of any harbour festival, but being Bristol ours is different.  Our parade of sail represents the wide variety of activities which take place on our harbour, in the middle of our City.  We have paddle boarders, sailing clubs, ferries, gig clubs, social rowers, marine schools, kayakers and people who boat just for the sheer pleasure of it. The people taking part today are only  a sample of the clubs that offer us all an opportunity to get involved in activities on the water.  We are so lucky that they are available to us right in the middle of our city.  If you have never taken to the water, we recommend you do through these clubs, we love Bristol, but we love the view of Bristol you get from the water even more. Participants include Bristol SUP, Bristol Channel Social Rowers, Bristol Empire Dragons, Clifton Gig Club, All Aboard Water sports, Bristol Maritime, James Durie, Bristol Ferry Boats, Avon Fire & Rescue, Bristol Adventure Sea Cadets and Royal Marines Cadets.
