Festival organisers are now inviting artists, entertainers and performers from across the city to express their interest if they wish to be part of the festival programme in 2018.
Following a creative review of the festival in 2017 a new, more transparent process for working with local Individuals, groups and organisations across the city is being trialled to create an engaging and inclusive programme for the 2018 festival.
Anybody wanting to get involved will need to express their interest by Wednesday 31 January, please click Bristol Harbour Festival – Expression of Interest to apply!
Once received, all applications will be categorised and shared with the relevant festival curators to create the festival programme.
Marvin Rees, Mayor of Bristol, said: “The Harbour Festival is one of the highlights of our internationally renowned cultural programme and the biggest showcase of Bristol culture and heritage there is. Year on year the festival provides inspiration and entertainment for communities across the city as well as the thousands who travel huge distances to take in its sights and sounds. Those experiences are only made possible with the participation of the many performers, stall holders and exhibitors that keep the festival’s cultural heart beating each year. I urge anyone who is interested in being part of the festival programme in 2018 to make contact with the organisers and help us make this year’s festival the biggest and most inclusive yet.”
Venues across the city that are keen to get involved and being part of this year’s Fringe programme festival by offering their own programme of entertainment can also express their interest by contacting the event team directly by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org with the subject line ‘Bristol Harbour Festival Fringe’.
